Get Help with your Organic Certification Process

Shape your company's organic future by getting certified

Getting Your Dietary Supplement Company Organic Certified
Organic certification starts with the development of your detailed Organic System Plan (OSP) also sometimes referred to as an Organic Compliance Plan (OCP). This plan is the basis of your application and the guiding document for the certification process.
Your OSP provides all of the information necessary to demonstrate compliance with regulations for organic certified products and services. Each OSP is unique to each operation type, location, and more. Regardless of the operation, all plans must address, in detail, each aspect of the production system — in your case, handling — such as suppliers, manufacturing, storage, transportation and more. Plans also demonstrate documentation and monitoring practices, recordkeeping systems, use of approved materials, contamination prevention, and management practices such as pest and disease control. The OSP serves as a point of reference for accountability and compliance.
A well drafted OSP makes the Organic Certifier's job much easier thus increasing the chances of becoming certified quicker.

So, now you may be asking yourself; "How do I get the documents or get started with an OSP?" Well, first you have to find an Organic Certifying Agency. Each one will have very similar documents as they are all based on the National Organic Plan (NOP). You can find one here or you might try our recommended Certifier,  Oregon Tilth. Their pricing is very reasonable and they are very good at what they do with a number of excellent certifying agents. (We are in no way affiliated with Oregon Tilth or recieve any compensation from them. )
